KEN RAICHEL RACING
About Us
For over 30 years, Ken has been involved with racing in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. He built his first car in 1992, racing it for three seasons. He spent 14 years with a sprint car team. Now, as the proud driver and owner of Ken Raichel Racing, he’s back with Alberta Outlaw Modifieds, stacking up wins and seeing the checkered flag.
Joe’s dedication to competitive racing is clear, not only as a lifelong friend but also as a fellow racer. Passion fuels every start and finish line, paired with a fiercely competitive nature and an unwavering drive to win. For me, victory is more than just crossing the line first; this fundamental desire pushes me and the entire team to constantly fine-tune performance, master every aspect of the race, and continuously improve, making me a dedicated team member.
Frank enjoys eating dirt, breathing speed and living loud. 10 + years with the Alberta Modifieds turning wrenches and chasing adrenaline. Now running with #17 pit crew where engines scream, mud flies and we fix cars faster than you can say “who forgot the lug nuts?” Every race is a war and we’re armed with with grit, grease, and questionable life choices. No suits. No limits. Just horse power, chaos, and the thrill of wondering if that bolt was supposed to go there. Great people and where the crew rolls like family.
Gord is a Licensed Automotive Technician with over 40 years experience. He’s had a lifelong love affair working on race cars, from the local tracks to the paved ovals of NASCAR. Added to this the Championship success on the dirt with Ken Raichels #17 Alberta Outlaw Modified has proven to Gord that “Dirt isn’t just for potatoes anymore!”
Kelly is an autobody professional with over 40 years of experience repairing, restoring, fabricating, and customizing vehicles. He has spent decades working on everything from cars and trucks to hot rods and race cars. Being part of the pit crew for Ken Raichel’s #17 car brings together his skills, his lifelong love of cars, and the enjoyment of working alongside friends at the track.
After earning the 2025 Alberta Outlaw Modified points championship, the team heads into 2026 focused on performance, reliability, and delivering value to sponsors through strong on-track results and off-track exposure.
